The front panel of the X-QPack provides the only color found on the case exterior, the top and sides are all black regardless of which model you choose. The bottom and rear of the case are left a natural brushed aluminum surface which is attractive even plain, although Apevia opted to include regular steel grey riser plates in lieu of fancier aluminum blanks. Black rubber feet come installed on the case bottom and 3 thumbscrews secure the top/side panel in place.



The front bezel houses two 5¼" drive bays and one 3½" opening, next to which is the LCD temperature display. Immediately below this is the spring-loaded steel carry handle. It retracts into the case when not in use but can easily be pulled out when you need to carry the X-QPack 2 to your next gig. Standard USB, Firewire and mic/headphone audio ports adorn the front next to power and HDD activity LED's. Power and reset buttons finish off the front panel features along with two mesh pieces on either side for ventilation.
