The drive itself is basically the same standard 3.5" shape and size that we are accustomed to. There is the usual specifications sticker on the top of the drive, as well as a green section that indicates this is a GreenPower model. Jumper settings are also given for SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking), PUIS (Power Up In Standby) and 1.5 GB PHY.


On the back of the drive, we find an SATA Power connector, Serial Data connector and a bank of pins to use with jumpers. There is no 4-pin Molex power connector, which is fine since all modern power supplies are equipped with SATA power connectors.

That pretty much covers the outside of the drive. Let's move ahead and do some testing...
