Over the years PC gaming hardware has grown more and more specialized. To try and make game play more realistic or provide better input manufacturers have developed a multitude of shapes such as console-like controllers, joy sticks, wheel/pedal sets and specialized mice and keyboards. Sometimes the popularity of a game has influenced the design of new gaming devices. Such is the case with FPS (first person shooters) and keyboards/pads.

The product up for review today is made by Wolf King and is called the Ultimate FPS Warrior Game Pad, or just Warrior for short. It's not meant to take the place of your keyboard but rather clusters most of the left-side keyboard controls into a circular pad for easier accessibility. If you're looking to replace your keyboard altogether check out the Timber Wolf which incorporates the circular pad with a standard notebook-sized keyboard. Both the Warrior and Timber Wolf place the most important FPS controls within easy reach of your left hand.

The Warrior game pad seems to have been designed around the game Counter Strike, as it is mentioned in the user manual and on Wolf King's website, although it lends itself well to most other FPS games also. There are 55 buttons arranged in a circular pattern with primary focus centered on the WASD movement keys. The Warrior incorporates an integrated wrist rest and folding legs along with non-slip feet for a more comfortable gaming experience. Other features include its small size (for portability) and USB connectivity.

Let's take a closer look at the Wolf King Warrior.
