The Vertex 3.20 was tested using the following desktop configuration.

Intel Core i5 2500K
Noctua NH-D14 Cooler
2x 4GB Kingston RAM
OCZ Vertex 3 240GB
SilverStone Strider 750W PSU
SilverStone Slim Optical Drive
SilverStone Short Cable Kit
SilverStone FT03 Micro ATX Chassis

The drive was set up as a secondary unit in the system and run in AHCI mode. I will be using the following benchmarks with the Vertex 3.20:

CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64
ATTO Disk Benchmark
AS SSD 1.7.4739.38088
SiSoft Sandra Lite 2013.SP3a

Below are the results in no particular order.

As expected, the Vertex 3.20 isn't quite as speedy as the new Vector line but of course pricing reflects that. When looking at the ATTO benchmark numbers (which is what OCZ uses to rate their drives), we see the Vector 3.20 is right on the mark with scores of 552MB/s read and 526MB/s write - 2MB/s and 6MB/s higher than rated, respectively. In Crystal, we see the drive is just a hair slower than the original Vertex 3 which is expected due to the NAND change. Everything else looks right on target as well so let's move ahead and wrap things up with a conclusion.
