Introduction

Today I will be looking at two power supplies from Ultra Products. Usually I don't like to review multiple items in a single write-up, but both of these units arrived unexpected and after closer investigation, I realized they were nearly identical. So, it would be a bit silly to make two separate reviews out of two very similar products. The X-Pro and X-Finity are both 800w units and have identical specs. The only real difference between the two is color and cable type. I will cover this and more, so let's get started!





The X-Pro arrived in this bright orange package with the X-Finity being packaged in a less flashy box. Much like the power supplies within, both boxes are very similar and aside from the color and picture of the power supplies, are identical. The nVidia SLI-Ready badge is clearly displayed on both boxes, with specs and cable information on the front as well. The sides of the boxes go into a bit more detail regarding the features and specifications on each unit. Below is a complete list of specs, borrowed from Ultra's website.



As mentioned earlier and as you can see from the specs list, the two power supplies are indeed identical. The only difference between the two being color and cable style. So, let's move ahead and take a closer look at each unit. First up, the X-Pro...
