Hard Drive Install

To open the TVisto, you need to unscrew two screws on the bottom of the enclosure and one on the side near the back. Once unscrewed, just pop off the side panel. Be careful, as it takes a bit of force to remove the panel. Inside we see a few circuit boards, an IDE cable and a 4-pin Molex cable.

As mentioned earlier, I will be installing an old hard drive in the TVisto. This particular drive is a Western Digital 60 GB ATA-66. Galaxy asks that you set the jumper on the drive to Master before installing. Then, just connect the IDE and Molex cables and sit the drive in place. Three screws are used on the bottom of the enclosure to secure the drive.

Here we have the TVisto sealed back up and ready to go in the drive stand. Move ahead as we cover formatting the drive and performing a firmware update...
