Included with your purchase is the TVisto External Drive itself, two-part power adapter, drive stand, USB cable, FireWire cable, AV cable, SPDIF coaxial cable, quick installation manual, user guide manual, a set of screws to mount a drive inside the TVisto, a USB driver disc for Windows 98 and a remote control (batteries not included). The remote is full size and has all of the buttons you would expect.
The top section of the remote has the majority of buttons that I find most useful. Here you have all of the media controls - play, pause, stop, etc. The power and home buttons are also located here and color-coded. Arrows are located below the media control buttons with an enter button in the center. The lower portion of the remote features more specialized buttons. Each function of the TVisto (Movies, Music, Pictures, Settings) has its own color-coded button and a set of buttons specifically for use with that function. A full number pad is also present, along with various audio function buttons.
The TVisto stands vertically and is constructed from plastic and aluminum. The front bezel has eight media keys, an IR receiver and a power button. The two sides of the drive are aluminum with several holes used to supply air to the hard drive inside. The back of the TVisto has two FireWire ports (so you can daisy chain), a USB 2.0 port, AV port, audio SPDIF port, power port and an on/off power switch.
The TVisto measured 8 1/2" in length, nearly 2" in width and 6" in height. The drive is small enough to take with you most anywhere, but be careful as the aluminum edges are pretty sharp. Continue on as we open up the TVisto and install a hard drive inside...
