The aptly-named "3" marks Tuniq's third entry into the computer case market and while I can't speak about the first two, I will say that they have certainly done a good job on this one.

The tool-less riser tabs and sliding drive locks are exactly the same design as other Sunbeamtech cases If you've got a great design why change it, right? Even the drive rails are the same. I could pull a hard drive out of my Sunbeamtech and snap it right into place on the Tuniq 3. Compatibility across platforms is always a good thing. With the whole Core Fan design and mounting spots for three "external" 120mm fans, cooling is more than adequate. And even with a fan located behind the solid lower front panel, the vented sides and ability to draw from the bottom due to the feet raising the case off the floor, means there's no problem getting air to it.

I ran into one problem during installation and it's more of a nuisance rather than an actual show-stopper. The easiest workaround is to install the motherboard without removing the rail, but if you can't, then removing the rail for the core fans happens to involve an extra step by first taking off the footer to access the screws. My only other issue with the case is the visible wiring between the panel and front door; there should be some wire loom or mesh wrap to hide these better. As it is, the colored wires stick out like a sore thumb whenever you open the door.

I found the Tuniq 3 available online in the $60-$70 range, making it a very inexpensive mid-tower to buy into. For that price you wouldn't expect to get three LED fans and CCFL's included, not to mention the tool-less features that make this case a breeze to use. But just like other models from Sunbeamtech, the Tuniq 3 has a lot to offer for the money.
