Introduction

As an overclocker, cooling is one of those hardships in life you must learn to accept. Like a bad boss (not you, Shawn, don't worry), it can limit your success, your happiness and your feeling of security. If you have the money and the time, you can be your own boss and use liquid nitrogen, or if you're upper management you can get some solid water cooling and/or TEC helping you along the way. For the rest of us wage-workers there's air cooling; at least we make enough to get away from stock, eh?

When I think of high-end air cooling, a few coolers quickly come to mind. In no particular order, those beasts include the Thermalright Ultra-120, the Scythe Infinity and the Noctua NH-U12F. Not to be forgotten though, is today's review sample: the Tuniq Tower. Tuniq (a subsidiary of Sunbeamtech) first introduced the Tower a long time ago, and it since has gone through revisions to become the Tower 120-LFB, whose full specifications from the Tuniq website are here:

The Tower has long been recognized as one of the best air coolers on the market; let's see if it lives up to the hype...
