Introduction

A little more than a month ago, Thermaltake sent over one of their latest notebook coolers for review, the Massive23 CS. Utilizing a rugged aluminum frame, huge 23cm fan and selectable multi-colored LED lighting, the Massive23 CS earned our Bronze Seal of Approval. While the aluminum cooler is definitely a high quality and attractive piece, it also carries a bit of a hefty price tag with it, listing at $59.99 retail. As we mentioned in that review, Thermaltake does have another model in the Massive23 line, the lower cost ST.

Named for its use of a single, large 23cm cooling fan, the Massive23's two letter designation is a little more ambiguous. Both the CS and ST versions are similar, however while the CS fan has a color changing LED option and aluminum construction, the ST fan uses blue LEDs only and is comprised of a plastic/metal combination.

Join me as I take a closer look at the Massive23 ST and how it compares to the previously reveiwed CS.
