The online sales brochure displays a white, pink or black version of the headset, although the set sent over for review have the white earphones. The headset cord is roughly seven feet long with standard 3.5mm audio and microphone jacks at the end. These are colored green and pink to match the audio standard for ease of connectivity. There is no manual or CD included with the headset.
Inline on the cord approximately two feet from the headset is a small control box with microphone mute switch and volume adjustment knob. The box has a clip to attach it to your shirt if desired for easy access.
The Yapster has a padded headband and an adjustable boom mic with a pivoting base that allows it to easily fold up out of the way when not in use.
The headset has clearly marked L and R sides and nicely padded over-ear cups. There is an additional layer of foam covering the center where the speaker drivers are located.
The ear cups have a wide pivot range and adjust easily to fit your head. Each side has about an inch of adjustment up or down and the headband flexes sufficiently to fit most sized heads. It is very light weight and should be comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
Let's do some testing and a conclusion.
