The sound quality of the player is very good. I was surprised how well the included ear buds were able to reproduce music, and the built-in graphic equalizer allows you to chose from several presets to suit the listener. Video playback is also quite good, although you will see "jaggies" along edges of on-screen objects, the frame rate is high enough you don't see any lag or ghosting.
In addition to MP3, movie and picture capabilities, the Mega Screen also functions as an FM tuner and audio recorder, whether from the FM, built-in mic or line-in port. You can also use it simply as a USB storage device. Transferring files to the player is fairly quick. Single 3-5mb songs copy in about a second or two, although a large 800mb block of files took almost 18 minutes, slightly less than 1mbps transfer rate.
The only downside I found with the Mega Screen player is that it shows fingerprints easily. It has a glossy finish that when handled gets covered with smudges. There is also no wall charger included, although one of the foreign players did come with one, which I ended up using. The price certainly seems right, at around $55 for the 1GB version and $85 for our 2GB player at one popular online retailer. This definitely makes the Super Talent Mega Screen a much better buy than those cheap knock-offs you find on auction sites.
