Introduction

In the last month I've had the opportunity to review a few high end (>600W) power supplies. One advantage of doing these back-to-back is it gives me the ability to compare features and performance from several different manufacturers' models. Today I'll be looking at one of a new group of Spire's Rocketeer line, the IV 600W. Although not advertised as a gaming SLI power supply like the V, VI or Zeno series of Spire PSUs, the IV does come with dual PCIe cables as well as dual +12v rails supporting the latest ATX 2.01 spec.

Spire is perhaps best known for their PC cooling products, as their website name spirecoolers.com indicates. Founded in 1991, Spire has offices in nine different countries, and in addition to their cooling and power supplies they offer cases, case modding products and external hard drive enclosures.

Let's see how the Rocketeer IV 600W stacks up against the competition!
