Included in the retail package is the case itself, an LED diffuser for the camera's flash, screen protector, cleaning cloth and installation instructions. SGP offers the Ultra Slider in three different colors: Gunmetal, Champagne Gold and Satin Silver. I selected the latter, as it best matched the color of the aluminum edges of the iPhone 4.
The Ultra Slider case consists of three parts: a clear panel that covers the back of the phone and two side pieces that fit around the edge of the phone and lock together. The clear back features the SGP Case name and series name near the bottom. There are various cutouts around the edge of the case that grant access to the volume control buttons, headphone and secondary microphone, power button, docking connector and mic / speaker ports. The clear backing feels pretty thick and while the two polycarbonate pieces are flexible (for an easier install), they do feel a little cheap.
Here we see a few cosmetic issues with the case. The first is a "dent" on one side of the case. I was told that this is a result of the manufacturing process and can't be avoided. At least they did paint over it. The other issue I noticed was the unpainted sections on the inside. My contact stated that this was intentional, as it eases installation. I'm not so thrilled about the dents, but the painted interior is something I can live with.
Let's move ahead and install the case on our iPhone 4.
