Installing the Sentry 2 into the drive bay is a snap. The unit requires one 4-pin Molex to power itself. There are five leads from the unit for the fans, each including a 3-pin and 4-pin Molex connector. Each of these leads has a corresponding thermal probe so you can keep an eye on how each fan is doing it's job.
Both the power and thermal leads are labeled 1-5 to keep it simple, and I found the wires to be adequate length, even in my over-sized case. Temperature probe positioning is essential because what each one reads will directly influence the fan's speed when the controller is set to "auto". Tape is included to adhere the sensors to whatever you like, but I found clear packing tape to be more effective in attaching them.
Testing and final thoughts just ahead...
