For budding musicians on the move, podcasters, and hardcore gamers alike, finding a quality microphone at a decent price can be a real challenge. Today we are going to have a look and listen to the USB Condenser Studio Microphone that comes to us in the Samson C01U Podcasting Pack.



I remember the Samson name from back in my garage band days as having a reputation for being a good quality microphone maker. Back then I was a big fan of Sure and AKG, and never got around to trying one out, so this should be a treat.

The Samson Podcasting Pack comes in a hard shell aluminum case for the mic and accessories. Inside we find the C01U Condenser mic, a 4" microphone stand and the microphone shockmount along with a 10' USB cable and bundled software. The case is well-made and looks great, but regrettably did not come with the keys for the locks on the latches. Let's take a closer look at the microphone itself.
