I've installed the ASUS Sabertooth 990FX with the following hardware:
AMD 1090T X6 Phenom II BE
2x2Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3-1600
2x2Gb OCZ Platinum XTE DDR3-2000
Swiftech H20-320 Edge
128Gb Crucial C300 RealSSD
Icy Dock 2.5" Adapter
1Tb WD Caviar Black
1Tb Hitachi Deskstar
2x320Gb Seagate 7200.10 RAID1
Optiarc 7241S 24x DVD+/-RW
ASUS EAH5870 V2 1G
Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD Edition
Note that as soon as the new processors become commercially available, we will be swapping out the current six-core Thuban for a new eight-core Zambezi chip.
Although the DDR3 kits are of disparate memory speeds, both were installed together and run at the lowest common denominator.
All six SATA devices were connected to the AMD SB950 supplied 6Gb/s ports.
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium was installed fresh to the 128Gb Crucial RealSSD, with the two 1Tb drives housing non-essential data and the two 320Gb drives in an existing AMD RAID1 mirror for more critical file storage.
Now that everything is set up let's take a look at the BIOS.
