Like its little brother, the Kingwin Revolution RVT-12025 is a winner. It does a good job of cooling with a small footprint and light weight. It will fit all modern processors and installation is easy enough. It should help get temps down on those warmer C2Ds, better that a 92mm cooler.
The exposed heatpipes allow for a lighter and smaller base, and allows for an effective use of aluminum, to keep cost down. The fan is fairly quiet running at full speed, but the RVT-12025 cools well at silent speed, so noise shouldn't be an issue.
Be aware that if you are using a thermal compound that is intended to be spread by the base, such as AS5, you will need to physically spread it yourself on the CPU, as the design of the base does not allow for compression of the compound. Not problem at all, just something you need to know.
For $33.00 USD, the RVT-12025 is a steal.
