Conclusions

The Rosewill RS850-S-B is a nice PSU. It has a flawless mirror finish and cool wire mesh on the rear. The full compliment of cables are nicely sleeved, and finished with heavy heatshrink tubing. The 135mm fan runs totally silent, and has LEDs that emit a nice blue glow. The cables are plenty long enough for use in a full tower, something you won't find on all PSUs.

It sports four +12v rails, with 20A on each, which are better specs than some 850 watt PSUs for twice the price. If used in SLI, each video card will be on separate 12v rails.

My testing showed only a .1v drop in voltage with a 53% increase in load. How it would perform with a pair of video cards in SLI remains to be seen, but I see no reason why an extra card would be a problem.

The RS850-S-B is not modular. If you feel that you must have a modular-designed power supply, this probably isn't the one for you. But, be aware, that in the above 800 watt arena, modular power supplies get pretty rare… and fairly expensive.

The Rosewill RS850-S-B sells for $169.99USD at a popular online retailer. That makes it one of the least expensive 850 watt power supplies on the market. It definitely is worth a look if you are making the leap to a higher wattage PSU.

Pros:

Great looks
Cables long enough for full tower
Four +12v rails at 20A each
Enough cables and connectors for most rig requirements, including one with twin 8800s
One of the least expensive 850 watt PSUs on the market

Cons:

Not modular… but neither are most 850 watt power supplies

And the Rosewill RS850-S-B 850 watt PSU earns the OCIA.net Seal of Approval.
