I will be using the following benchmarks with the RevoDrive X2:
CrystalDiskMark 3.0 x64
ATTO Disk Benchmark 2.46
AS SSD 1.5.3784.37609
SiSoft Sandra Lite 2011b
Real world file transfer
And here are the results, in no particular order.
For the real world file transfer test, I measured how long it took to copy two sets of files from one location to another on the drive. For the small files test, I transferred 557 MP3 files, totaling 2.56GB. For the large file, I zipped these same MP3s into a single file measuring 2.52GB in size. Results are below:
Small File Transfer Time: 19 seconds
Large File Transfer Time: 17 seconds
Once again, OCZ has provided us with a SSD that is faster than anything we have tested to date. Starting with Crystal, the Read numbers look great and while the Write numbers are higher than what we saw on the original Revo, they are still a good bit lower than we are seeing in other reviews. Now that I think about it, my Crystal Write numbers are almost always lower than every other review of the same product I see elsewhere. I have no idea really why this is as I use different test hardware nearly every time I bench a SSD.
ATTO shows the true potential of this drive, posting around 640 MB/sec Write and 740 MB/sec Read. The smaller file size transfers aren't too terribly impressive but on the higher end, this drive is blazing fast. AS SSD results are equally as impressive. SiSoft Sandra produced a drive score of 663.2 MB/sec which is the fastest score we have seen in-house. The same goes for the real-world test - amazingly fast!
Let's move ahead and wrap things up with a conclusion.
