The Destructor comes in an armored nylon case with the Razer logo embroidered on the top. Opening the three-quarter circumference zipper reveals a molded foam interior with the Destructor mat held very firmly inside. It is unusual to see this much heavy duty protection for a mouse pad. There's a thumb insert in the front center to pull the pad up and out of the cushioning foam.

The Destructor mat is thin, only about an eighth of an inch thick, with a semi-rigid top and a non-slip rubber foam backing. It's hard to take a flash shot of black on grey but the Razer logo is in the upper right corner of the mat with the Destructor name in the lower left. The mat color is a charcoal grey with a textured surface; not rough like sandpaper but almost like a Teflon coating.

Let's see how the Destructor does in action.
