It seems to me that not much thought went into the functionality of the Raidmax Skyline. The bulk of the work went into a glossy finish and brushed aluminum front bezel. The cooling is excellent, but you would do well to pull out the fans and use them in a better case. The side panel window looks nice but odds are you won't want to show off the plain gray metal interior.
With sharp danger zones and flimsy accessories, the Skyline misses the mark as a budget go-to case. The $70 asking price is simply too high for this chassis. We have seen much better looking cases with painted interiors for as much as $30 less. Although the outside look is attractive, the inside lacks the substance for even being worthy of modding. If I were looking to build a budget system with a Raidmax case, I would pass this $70 one up and drop an extra five bucks to pick up the Raidmax Smilodon which is easily 10x the case the Skyline turned out to be.
Thanks to Raidmax for supplying us with the Skyline for review.
