The OCZ PC2-8000 Platinum Edition has the familiar OCZ XTC heatspreaders that promote airflow around the memory ICs. They are very shiny, either chrome or nickel plated, with a mirror finish throughout. The PCBs are the typical green ones.


OCZ has given these modules 2.15v EVP, which means that you can raise the VDIMM on the PC2-8000 Platinum Edition modules up to 2.15v without voiding the lifetime OCZ warranty.
