Introduction

Palit is one of the few companies that sell both ATI and NVIDIA cards. Though their rocket-launcher armed frog has only become popularly recognizable in the past year or two, they were in fact founded a whole 20 years ago in 1988. As you know, that's quite a while in tech years. With ATI's new HD 4xxx series of cards, Palit has geared up to add one more PCB to their arsenal, the HD 3850 Super +1GB videocard, which we have for review today.

This card comes with pretty standard specifications, and everything is on par with expectations. I would have liked to see dual DVI out ports, but the addition of an HDCP ready HDMI out port is a great touch. The extra memory here should do wonders for high levels of anti-aliasing, but how well does this card really perform? Continue on as we find out!
