Ozone contacted me via e-mail about reviewing their SMOG mouse as part of a gaming mouse round-up for another site. Since it would be part of a round-up and would take more time to complete than a single mouse review, we arranged to set up another review in the meantime. I had never heard of Ozone before exchanging e-mails with them. After taking a look at their website, it appears they have been around for at least a year or so. Based on their list of reviews, their primary market has been international which explains why I hadn't heard of them before. But as of last month, Ozone is expanding their product line to the United States meaning you will see a lot more of them in the coming months, if you haven't already.

According to their about us page, Ozone was created by a group of gamers that were fed up with the current offering of peripherals targeted specifically to gamers. This group set out to produce cost-efficient gaming gear that delivers function and performance without sacrificing quality and style. Today we will be taking a look at one of their flagship gaming audio products, the Strato 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones.


The Strato arrived in the attractive red and black retail box that you see above. The box features a cutout on the front that reveals the headphones inside. On the side we find a brief list of features while the backside goes into greater detail on the features and specifications of the headphones in multiple languages.
