The outer edge of the case has grooves which fit the seal on the removable back panel. As you can see, the underside of the keypad is raised up in order to make flush contact with the buttons.
Here we have a close-up of the removable back panel. You can see the seal that circles the panel, as well as the cover over the mic and also the rubber plug covering the bottom access panel.
That pretty much covers the exterior of the OtterBox. "Installing" your Treo in the OtterBox is as easy as can be. Simply insert the PDA into the case...
