Introduction

I have been using a TV tuner card in my main computer for well over two years. I originally picked up the tuner card because I was tight on space and didn't want my 19" CRT TV taking up half of my desk. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the idea of watching TV on my computer. Besides the space-saving qualities, I also grew fond of the Personal Video Recorder (PVR) functionality of the card. The only thing lacking with my current solution is support for HD, which hasn't been a serious problem because the apartment complex where I live doesn't offer it (lame proprietary cable service). But, that wouldn't stop me from receiving Over The Air (OTA) HD signals, which is where today's review item comes into play, the AutumnWave OnAir GT USB HDTV Tuner.

The AutumnWave OnAir GT USB HDTV Tuner is a portable TV Tuner solution designed for use primarily with your laptop, allowing you to pick up both HD and analog signals and watch them wherever you may be (granted you are able to receive a strong enough signal).

The OnAir GT arrived in the retail box you see above, with a few features and awards listed on the front of the box and further features and a package contents list on the rear. Below is a complete list of features and specifications, borrowed from AutumnWave's website.
