First Look

Here we have the FlexXLC modules in all their glory. The heatspreaders are a bit difficult to photograph and look much better in person. 23 fins protrude from the top of each side of the modules, making for a total of 46 fins per stick. The water barbs are ¼” ID (inner diameter), which may be too small for some watercooling loops. My previous water systems were all ½” ID.

The back sides of the heatspreaders are a bit plain and only have a specs/timing sticker. The smudge looking marks you see in the photos don't look that noticeable in person and appear to be left over from machining.

Overall I really like the design and flexibility of these heatspreaders. My only concern, which is the same that I had with the recently reviewed Reaper memory, is that the spreaders are a bit tall and may present some issues if your CPU heatsink is large and hangs over the memory slots.

Continue ahead as we check out the testing procedures...
