Fatal1ty of course refers to Johnathan Wendel, the world famous PC gamer. He and the companies he has partnered with have spawned a whole gambit of hardware bearing the Fatal1ty name, ranging from peripherals like mice and headsets to other system components such as motherboards, video and sound cards. OCZ appears to be the latest manufacturer to jump on the bandwagon, releasing both DDR2 and DDR3 modules under the Fatal1ty banner, in PC2-6400, 8500 and PC3-10666 speeds.
OCZ sent us over a pair of their new Fatal1ty modules for review, the 2x2Gb PC2-6400 Dual Channel kit. OCZ claims "these high-performance memory kits were co-developed with the expertise of the world’s 12-time champion to meet the needs of fellow gamers, and are designed to help deliver exceptional gaming visuals and overclocking potential to ensure your high-powered gaming PC maintains unsurpassed stability." Personally I think the whole Fatal1ty branding is starting to get a little old, but let's have a look at this new memory and see if it lives up to the hype.
