The Sentry LX comes well protected in two soft Styrofoam inserts. The screen comes protected with a plastic sheet to prevent scratching, and the unit comes along with a detailed manual, two extra thermal probes, some tape, and a battery to remember your settings.


Neatly organized cables and a well soldered PCB fill the back of the Sentry LX. All five of the fan power cables and all five of the thermal probes are labeled clearly. This turns out to be an important feature because, on the auto setting, each probe is paired with the similarly numbered fan. All of the cables are neatly bundled with twist-ties on arrival.

The front of the Sentry LX has a horizontally brushed aluminum façade. On the left we find the operating buttons, Set, Mode, Fan Select, Reset, and two arrow buttons, which end up working very well for operation. Everything is in order here, continue on to some notes on usage and conclusions.
