Introduction

NZXT has been building cases targeted for gamers and enthusiasts since 2004. Headquartered in Taiwan, NZXT's company objective is to "provide every gamer with a case that they can identify with." To this end NZXT offers two types of case designs, the more conservative "Classic" series, and the contemporary "Crafted" line. I recently reviewed another one of NZXT's cases, the Apollo, which earned the OCIA.net Seal of Approval.

This week I get a chance to check out one of NZXT's latest offerings in the "Classic" series, the Duet. Aptly named for its ability to function in either a mid-tower or desktop orientation, the Duet looks to give users the benefit of a small footprint case without having to sacrifice on hardware due to component size constraints. Quoted from NZXT's site, the Duet is "..the perfect balance of cooling, design and size. The duet allows for dual use as a standard tower or a home theater pc." Going by the tag line on the box, "entertainment media chassis", NZXT has obviously geared the Duet towards the home theater market.
