Six months ago NZXT sent over one of their new Avatar Gaming Mice
for review. Seeing as how this was their first attempt at an input peripheral aimed specifically at the gaming enthusiast, the Avatar performed very well and got high marks from us and elsewhere around the 'net. About the only complaint we had with it was the placement of the side navigation buttons and their propensity for getting accidentally bumped while maneuvering the mouse. It seems we weren't the only ones to report this flaw, and NZXT we're happy to say has listened.
So as a follow up, NZXT shipped us one of their new and improved Avatar models for comparison. All the specifications appear identical, it's the same four-way switchable 650 to 2600dpi optical mouse, with universal shape suitable for righties or lefties, seven programmable buttons and an identical flat-black, rubberized appearance. Even though not much has changed, let's take a brief refresher look at this gaming mouse from NZXT and check out what's new.
