Introduction

While the Denmark-based NorthQ has been making a variety of computer hardware products for the past few years, the availability of their merchandise has always been limited to non-existent in the United States. NorthQ not only manufactures a broad spectrum of computer equipment, from cases to power supplies to CPU coolers (water and air), but also home and car electronics. Their name may not be big in the USA, but we have seen their products before with good results.

Today we have for review the NorthQ NQ-3360A Max Tower Extreme, one of their most recent CPU coolers. The Max Tower Extreme arrives in an attractive, albeit standard box. On the sides, we find standard feature listings, product snapshots, and specification charts. Full specifications, from the NorthQ website, are:

It's curious that they write “or higher” on these specifications, but otherwise they seem pretty accurate. With four heat-pipes, HDT (heat-pipe direct touch) technology, and a high airflow (>80CFM at high) 120mm fan, the NQ-3360A has all the makings of a great cooler. Continue on as we find out if it performs as well as the last NorthQ cooler we saw…
