My job gives me the opportunity to test some of the best input devices available today, and believe me, I have done just that. From gaming and multimedia keyboards to wireless and ergonomic mice, I have worked with some really great products (and some that aren't so great). But at the end of the day, I still use a Logitech keyboard and mouse with my work system, simply because they are my favorite in terms of features, comfort, etc.

The MX 5500 was announced back in January at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where we brought you on-site coverage of each of their five new products. Today I will be taking a look at their latest keyboard / mouse combo and see if they have hit yet another home run in the marketplace.


The MX 5500 arrived in Logitech's standard green / black retail package, with a large photo of the keyboard and mouse on the front.
