The motherboard tray can be removed from the PC-V1110 by taking out two thumbscrews at the rear of the case and sliding the tray towards the front. There are slots for air circulation around the CPU socket on the motherboard tray to make up for the extra heat trapped behind the tray due to the sound-dampening foam. At first, I expected this to cause troubles with CPU cooler backplates, but it actually turned out to be a very effective system.

The front fan provides cooling to the lower thermal zone, and can be easily removed by means of two thumbscrews. At 14cm, this fan stays very quiet and pushes a lot of air, which is good for keeping the hard disks and PSU as cool as possible.

There are a few accommodations for cable management in the PC-V1110. On the back side of the case, front panel power/LED/IO cables can be lead behind the drive bays and into either thermal zone with plastic cable clips. Also, there are two holes in the separator between thermal zones for power cables to effectively reach the motherboard. All of the sharp edges here are protected by plastic, which made for a nicely injury-free installation.

The power supply has a unique installation design. Under the power supply is a rubber stand to support its weight and reduce vibrations. This stand is movable, and can be put in almost any place to avoid blocking any rear fans. On top of the power supply, a small rubber nut is screwed down to further secure the unit and reduce vibrations.

Next up, final thoughts and conclusions.
