Inside the retail box we find the Lapdesk, Important Information booklet and two rubber pads. These rubber pads can be inserted into the vented fan slots to raise the laptop up slightly from the top of the desk and help prevent it from sliding around.
The upper deck of the Lapdesk is white in color. Both sides are perforated, allowing sound to penetrate from the 2" speakers beneath them. The Lapdesk can accommodate up to a 16" display. The center area is vented to allow the cooling fan below to do its work. On the right side of the desk is the control panel. Here we can adjust the volume levels as well as turn the cooling fan on and off. There is a rubber cord holder here also that is used to secure the USB cable when it is not plugged into your notebook.
Across the bottom of the desk are two fold-out feet used to prevent your notebook from sliding off the desk. These feet have rubber pads on them to prevent scratching or scuffing your computer.
The bottom surface of the Lapdesk features a soft mesh-like padding that is designed to be easy on your legs. In the center we see the intake area for the cooling fan.
Looking at the desk head-on, we see another ventilation slot for the cooling fan as well as what appears to be air ports for the integrated speakers. The desk has a slight angle to it, allowing for a more comfortable typing experience.
That pretty much covers the Lapdesk. Let's move ahead and test it out with a few different notebooks.
