Kingston has long been a manufacturer of computer memory and digital storage devices such as USB sticks and various other formats of compact flash. With the popularity of mobile devices like smartphones, tablets and other handhelds (most of which have a fixed amount of storage built in), they realized there was a need for an easy-to-access external storage device. While cloud-based storage is often the easiest way to back up or transfer your digital media, there are occasions where access to the Internet or cloud service may not be available. Kingston has addressed this issue with its third generation MobileLite Wireless G3 and Wireless Pro portable drivers.
Both the MobileLite Wireless G3 and MobileLite Wireless Pro feature 2.4GHz and 5GHz 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi connectivity, a WLAN Ethernet RJ45 port to function as a wireless access point, USB and SD Card slots for external storage, a non-replaceable Li-ion battery, a USB cable to recharge your devices and a free downloadable mobile app to enable the transfer and sharing of files. The MobileLite Wireless Pro adds 64GB of built-in storage and a slightly higher capacity battery for longer run-time or extended charging.
