Package contents include a set of mounting screws for the rack, two keys, the rack itself and a quick installation guide. The guide is a fold-out style and covers mounting, power / cable connections and hard drive installation / removal.
The front of the rack is constructed of solid black plastic. There are two blue LEDs on the front bezel; one HDD activity, one power. A key lock is also found here, as well as the handle to open the rack.
Around back, we find a 4-pin Molex connector for power, the SAS data connector and SATA data connector. iStar has also included a 40mm cooling fan to help keep the drive inside from overheating. Four screw holes on each side of the rack are used to secure it to a 5.25" drive bay, but only four screws are included - two per side, which is plenty.
Continue ahead as we tackle hard drive installation, do some testing and wrap things up with a conclusion...
