I have owned my iPhone for about five months, and in this relatively short time period, I have become very familiar with its pros and cons. Some of these cons we are simply stuck with (ex: horrible external speaker), but others, such as less-than-desirable battery life, are readily addressed with the aid of 3rd party external accessories. Portable battery chargers are nothing new, having been around since iPods first hit the market several years ago. These products offer end users extra juice for their devices when conventional charging methods are not accessible (long airline flights, camping trips, etc.).
