Installation of the OtterBox for iPhone Defender Series is not difficult, but it will take a couple of minutes - more than most phone cases do. The first step is to remove the external silicon jacket from the hard shell. The silicon jacket comes off easily. Next, you will need a screwdriver, paper clip or your fingernail to pry apart the three snap points (one at the top and two on either side - just unclip one side or the other). After this, the case opens easily.


Next, peel off the protective film on the inside of the case, both on the front screen and the two windows on the back of the case. Now, slide your iPhone into the front half of the shell, bottom first. Put the back shell in place and make sure that all of the snap points lock in place. That's it, installation is complete.
