The H1-Touch looks like something straight from Apple. The aluminum base is simple and the CRYSTALLIZED – Swarovski Elements crystals add a touch of class. The six spider-leg posts are easily retractable and do a respectable job of holding your device in place. The black rubber backing ensures your phone won't get scratched by a hard surface. The fact that the head of the holder tilts and rotates is an added bonus as you can orientate your device any way you see fit for various tasks.
Given the way the posts grip the iPhone, you can still charge your phone when on the holder as well as use the headphone jack and access the power button, but unfortunately the side grips interfere with the volume buttons so you can't easily adjust those. This is about the only negative mark I could find with the H1-Touch other than the $50 price tag for something that really doesn't DO anything. Editor's Note - The price has recently dropped to 24.99 after a $10 mail-in rebate and $15 instant savings at Newegg.com
I could see the H1-Touch being pretty useful if you watch a lot of movies on your phone or if you use a Bluetooth headset frequently at your desk. It would also make for a nice decoration and conversation piece in an office environment.
OCIA.net has awarded the Luxa2 H1-Touch our Bronze Seal of Approval.
