Sub, Control Module

The included subwoofer stands on four feet, which raise it a good inch or so off the ground to give the bottom speaker enough clearance. The sub itself is really not as big as it looks in the photos and is smaller than the one I currently have with my Z-2200 system. The back of the sub has connections for each of the satellite speakers as well as a connection for the control module, inputs from your sound card and a set of auxiliary inputs to connect another device to the speaker system.

Here you can see the size of the control module compared to the satellite speakers. The control module is the focal point of this entire system and looks to be a great fit. Logitech provides individual controls for the subwoofer, rear surround sound and the center channel speaker. We also have a Matrix mode, which is used to activate the sourround sound speakers in gaming and music. A mute button for the speakers and another one for the microphone is included, as well as jacks to plug in headphones and a mic. A master power button rounds out the control module.

Continue ahead as we take a look at installation...
