Interior Pt 1

I don't know about you, but I think the solid black interior looks fantastic. I have seen many people paint the interior of their cases with varying degrees of success, but to have it done from the factory can really save you a lot of time. Plus, you don't run the risk of ruining your case with a shoddy paint job.

First up are the removable hard drive bays. There are seven total - four in the upper section and three at the bottom. They are split into two sections so the upper bank can be removed if you are using a graphics card (or cards) up to 12" in length. Each bay is easily removable for drive installation and feature vibration dampening mounts. Using SilverStone's optional CP05 hot-swap SATA adapter, you can make each bay hot swappable if you wanted. SilverStone includes one of these adapters with the FT01, pre-installed in the top bay.

We also get a good look at the front intake fan and removable fan filter which makes cleaning very easy.

SilverStone has implemented a push-button tool-less 5 1/4" drive bay system as well. Simply press the top of the button to unlock that bay, slide in your drive then push it back down to lock it in place.

At the very top of the chassis you can see the spring-loaded quick-release mechanism for the side panel as well as the large 180mm intake fan. At the back of the case is the 120mm exhaust fan. I like how SilverStone has included fan guards on the insides to help prevent wires from getting caught and tangled in the fan blades. Attention to detail like this is always welcomed.
