If you actually read the specifications, you might have noticed the length of the cord. Yes, the cord is a full 10 feet. Depending on how the room is set up, you may not have to remove your headphones to grab some snacks at the next LAN party.

Here is an awesome goody that comes with the S-500. My only real complaint about the last headphones I reviewed was that there was no carrying bag or case. Everglide has provided a drawstring bag made of a glassine-type material.

Instead of having a mic attached to the headphones themselves, the S-500 comes with a lapel mic. The paper that comes with the headphones says that this mic is optional, but I couldn't find anything on the box that specified with or without mic.

To be totally honest, I really don't know how I feel about being attached to my rig by a second wire. I have forgotten about the headphone cord before, I know that I will forget the mic cord. But, it is a cool looking mic.
