Included in the box is the Ultra-X heatsink itself, a tube of AS5, installation manual and all of hardware needed to install the heatsink. The Ultra-X has two separate sets of mounting hardware: one for AMD Socket 754/939 and one for Intel Socket LGA 775. Also present is an adjustable fan speed controller which mounts into a spare PCI slot.

Four heatpipes carry heat to the upper deck of the heatsink, which consists of several rows of aluminum fins. The fins are "boxed-in" on the sides to aid in air flow. A 120mm fan sits atop the aluminum platform and is positioned to blow air down onto the fins.
