Introduction

I was contacted by EnzoTechnology a few weeks ago about having a look at one of their heatsinks. I am usually pretty well versed when it comes to heatsink manufacturers, but this was a name that I was not familiar with. EnzoTech has been developing cooling solutions for servers and OEM partners such as AMD and Intel since 1982. In January of 2007, EnzoTech set their sights on the desktop enthusiast market with the release of their Ultra-X heatsink, which we will be looking at today. The Ultra-X features four heatpipes, a 120mm cooling fan and is compatible with all recent AMD and Intel processors. Will the Ultra-X be able to tame a highly overclocked Core 2 Duo E6600? Read along as we set forth to find out...

The Ultra-X arrived in a nice retail package, complete with a "window" allowing you to see the heatsink within. Features and specifications for the Ultra-X can be seen below, taken directly from EnzoTech's website.

The specs on this heatsink are pretty impressive, as is the fact that EnzoTech decided to include a full-size tube of Arctic Silver 5 thermal grease with the Ultra-X. Arctic Silver 5 is perhaps the best thermal grease on the market today and has been so for a while; attention to detail like this is an excellent way to grab an enthusiast's attention. Move ahead as we check out the package contents...
