Moving further down the board, we see another 3-pin fan header to the right of the memory slots.
Below the CPU socket are the expansion slots. From top to bottom: PCIe x1, two PCIe x16 and two PCI slots. Across the bottom of the board are multiple connectors: front panel audio header, S/PDIF out header, 3-pin fan header, reset button, power button, serial port header, three front panel USB headers, clear CMOS jumper, front panel USB 3.0 header and the front panel switch /LED headers.
On the bottom right we find a Debug / Temp monitoring LED next to the SATA connectors. ECS includes four SATA 3Gb/s connectors and four SATA 6Gb/s connectors, colored white and gray respectively. I like the fact that these connectors are mounted on the side of the board - this goes a long way to help with cable management.
The back I/O panel consists of the following, from left to right: Clear CMOS button, PS/2 Keyboard / Mouse connector, two USB 2.0 ports, four additional USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, dual LAN ports, two more USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and five audio ports as well as an Optical S/PDIF output.
The back of the board is relatively plain as most are.
Let's move ahead and take a look at a few of the additional features that ECS has implemented with this board.
