LapWorks question why someone would want to shove their shiny new toy inside a dark and dreary leather folio or silicon case. The Crystal iPad Folio is their solution to this concern.


The Crystal iPad Folio consists of two clear shatterproof Polycarbonate shells molded to fit the iPad perfectly. LapWorks point out that this is the same material used to make bulletproof glass. The iPad itself snaps into the bottom panel while the top panel closes down over the screen to protect it when not in use / during transport.

The Crystal iPad Folio is a pretty simple product at first glance, but the key feature here is the swivel hinge that allows the top panel to rotate 180° to become the support arm for positioning in hands-free landscape or portrait mode.

Other notable features include the no-slip silicon bumpers on the outside of each panel which prevent scratching and scuffing. These also double as feet to hold your iPad in place in certain viewing modes.
