Introduction

When you think of Corsair you probably envision memory modules or USB drives. Maybe you even consider their more recent forays into power supplies and solid state drives. But it may come as a surprise to learn they have now expanded their product line to include cases and liquid cooling components! While Corsair is certainly not the first company to deviate from their core business model, OCZ and Thermaltake are two others who immediately come to mind, they definitely seem to be taking the right steps from what we've seen from the quality of their power supplies.

The Hydro Series H50 liquid CPU cooler is one of their new items we have for review today. It is a compact, pre-filled and sealed kit consisting of a combination pump and water block, along with a 120mm radiator and fan. Those of you who follow our reviews here at OCIA.net may recognize this cooler as being conspicuously similar to the NorthQ Siberian Tiger we reviewed last year. That's because both units are designed by Asetek, manufacturer of the VapoChill phase-change cooling system, who also provides OEM solutions in vapor phase, vapor chamber and liquid cooling to companies such as Dell and HP.

Join us as we take a closer look at the Corsair H50 Hydro Series cooler.
