On the front of noise and heat, the Silent Pro M performed very well. Even with all case-fans turned off at full system load, the unit not only ran silently but even output cool air. Included with the power supply are soft silicon vibration-reduction brackets, which do a great job of reducing noise level.
The cabling system on this unit was also very convenient. The modular system was well implemented and the flat sleeving also does wonders for cable management. I only wish that the motherboard and CPU connectors were longer and sleeved with the same flat sleeving as the other cables.
Of course, the most important aspect of any PSU is its performance, and the Silent Pro M certainly performed well. I am very particular to single, beefy 12V rails, a major factor in the high-end performance of this PSU. While it was not the best unit I've ever tested, it definitely ranks high on my list.
While a price is not currently available for this unit, a fair price would be just around $100. These days, it's very easy for a PSU to fall into the background, but Cooler Master, in my eyes, has done a fine job of making the Silent Pro M stand out. For its great all-around performance, fine bundle, and exceptional cabling systems, the Cooler Master Silent Pro M 600W PSU earns the OCIA.net Seal of Approval.
